Giuseppe "Joe" Scibilia

Giuseppe "Joe" Scibilia– Passed away with his loving family by his side on March 3, 2025, at Brampton Civic Hospital, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Maria for 51 years. Loving father of Antonio ( daughter-in-law, Marie), Andrea and proud and beloved grandfather of Emma.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Antonino and Conchetta and his sister, Nuziata. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Francesca (Giuseppe), Giuseppina (Domenic), Angelina (Nino). He will also be missed and remembered by Frank (Aida) and all his nieces and nephews and extended family here and in Italy.

Born and raised in Italy, Joe had a strong work ethic.  He first moved to Canada in 1965.  Joe was hardworking, and taught his sons the value of hard work. He was a loving, caring father and husband that would do anything for his family. He created an amazing business in Georgetown ( Georgetown Fruit Market/ Garden Center) which he owned for over 52 yrs and ran with his sons. He was a pillar of the Georgetown Community. He was a very kind and gentle soul who would go out of his way for anyone. Anyone who knew him loved him and that was evident in his last few weeks as he was visited by many family and friends.

Joe will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication to his family and friend and love of gardening.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:45 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, Oakville.
