CROSWELL, Gertrude

Passed away peacefully in Georgetown Hospital on February 8th 2024 in her 103rd year.

Gertrude was born in rural Magnetawan, Ontario to Eliza and Albert Corry, the seventh of 10 children. Gertrude lived the longest life of all her siblings.

Beloved wife of the late Charles (2003) for 63 years, Mother to Anne (Gerry), Grandmother to Mike (Jade), Michelle (Al) and Geoff (Leah) and Great-Grandmother to 6 Great-Grandchildren, Gavin, Kayleigh, Avery, Greyson, Vaughan and Maddox.

Gertrude was a fiercely determined and strong woman who was especially known for her cooking.

Gertrude and Charles enjoyed many years at their cottage on Ahmic Lake and vacationing in Florida in winter. She lived in her own home until 3 years ago.

Gertrude was an avid Blue Jays fan. Gardening was one of her favourite pastimes, along with playing bingo and crafts.

Cremation has taken place. At Mom’s request, there will be no funeral service and a private family Celebration of Life will take place. Interment will be held at Ahmic Harbour Cemetery at a later date.
