George Smith

Smith, George - Peacefully passed away in his sleep, on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Georgetown Hospital at the age of 92. Loving husband of 62 years to Marilyn. Dear father of Paul (Lisa) and Stephen (Viviana). Proud "Grandpa" of Carly, Elizabeth, Josh, Alex and Jake. Brother in law to Jacqueline Lawrence, Carl (Karen) Hernes and Elsie Smith. He was predeceased by brothers Don and Ken. George will be fondly remembered by his extended family including his nieces and nephews. He was a long time member of Norval United Church and will be sadly missed by his church family and friends.

Friends will be received at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown on Wednesday, July 16 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 1 p.m. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room.
