Reid, George M- George M. Reid, 79, of Oakville, Ontario passed away Friday August 30th, 2013 in the Parry Sound Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with illness. George is survived by his loving wife Joy of 46 years, Children Janice Reid (Christian Kimber), Rob (Lisa) Reid, Nancy Reid (Mark Vesely), Grandchildren Aven, Heath, Liam, Evalyn, Lenaya and Merek and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. George loved adventure and this was no better reflected than in his passion for riding motorcycles, skiing, hiking, diving into a good book, bike riding, boating, spending time on lakes and just about anything else that sounded fun. Sharing his passion for adventure with his wife, children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews are what brought him some of the greatest joys in his life. George leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever live on in the character of his family's future generations and the physical constructs of his life efforts. With the deepest of love for a wonderful husband, caring and nurturing father and passionate grandfather and uncle you will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. "It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years." Visitation will be from 7:00 - 9:00pm Friday September 6th, 2013 at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, ON. A memorial service for George will be held at Jones Funeral Home at 3:00pm on Saturday September 7th, 2013.
