Newman, Geoffrey (Geoff) Passed away peacefully at Grace Manor Nursing Home on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the age of 74. Husband to Joyce. Father to Deb (Wayne), Tina (Adam) and Dawn (Jon). Grandfather to Zachary, Amy, Luke, Lisa, Fionn, Jake and Ellen. Geoff is survived by his brothers Ron (Doris) and Peter (Elizabeth), and predeceased by his parents Ernest, Jessie and stepmother, Doreen. He also cherished his time with Joyce's family, and will be greatly missed by Hawley, Steve, Robyn, Will, Rebecca, Leslie, Mark, Robert and Michael. Born in Leeds, England on February 12, 1942. He immigrated to Canada in 1968 with his young family. He enjoyed reading, walking, swimming, bowling, building and electrical projects, and travelling. In his retirement years he was especially fond of his time at Long Point. Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Maple Avenue Baptist Church on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Geoff to Parkinson Canada or the Georgetown Breadbasket.
