Legault, Gary Allen – With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Gary at his home in Georgetown on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 60. He was surrounded by the unwavering love of his family.

Gary faced a heroic four-year battle with cancer, never once complaining or asking, “Why me?” His strength, grace, and quiet resilience were a testament to the remarkable man he was.

He was the beloved husband and best friend of Daneen, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years. Gary was the treasured son of Harold (Lisa) Legault and the late Lucy Legault, and a cherished son-in-law to Ken and Eleanor Lucier. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Roderick (Elizabeth), and by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Sherry (Mark), Anita, Brian (Suzette), and Paul (Patricia).

Gary lived life with passion, humour, and a generous spirit. A gifted chef and devoted foodie, he found joy in creating meals that brought people together — his kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and connection. His love of music was infectious, always ready to spin tunes that filled the room with energy. Nature was his sanctuary, especially on camping trips where stories flowed freely under starlit skies and memories were made to last a lifetime.

A loyal fan of March Madness, Gary approached each tournament with the enthusiasm of a true sports lover. His sharp wit and signature sarcastic humour made him unforgettable — he had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease.

Gary will be deeply missed by “The Boys”; his many nieces and nephews; extended family; and countless friends. His warmth, humour, and zest for life touched everyone who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and courage that will be forever cherished.
