Franz Josef Kachel

Kachel, Franz Josef - Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home in Erin, surrounded by his loving family. Franz, beloved husband of Ursula for almost 60 years. Cherished father of Sonja and Heidi (Dan Kuenzig). Family in Germany, loving brother to Herbert Kachel, brother-in-law Kurt Schlosenske sister-in-law Helma Kachel and Betty Schlosenske. Fondly remembered by cousin Manfred Schmidt and many nieces and nephews.
Franz was a hard working jack of all trades who truly could fix anything. He spent 30 years of his life dedicated to his work with McDonnell Douglas and eventually Boeing. In retirement, Franz took on the important task of local squirrel customs authority, relocating many furry pests safely. Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life in the Trafalgar Room at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, on Saturday, November 11 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Mulitple Myeloma division of the Canadian Cancer society would be greatly appreciated.
