Frank Santangeli

Frank Santangeli, born June 20, 1934 in Liverpool, England passed on September 3, 2022 in Georgetown Ontario. Predeceased by Anne, his wife of 64 years; survived by children, Susan Lalonde (Daniel), David (Gillian) and Peter (Lynn); proud grandfather to Maryse (Andrew) and Matthew (Sammy), Michael, William and Benjamin, and Grace, Gregory and Christopher. Doting great-grandfather to Aaron, Freddie and Leo. Described by friends as a true original, Frank was immensely proud of having established his branch of the family in Canada in the late 1950's, and forging a successful career initially in the life insurance industry, and later as one of Canada's mutual fund pioneers. Frank's accumulated wisdom, donated to his children at every opportunity, will live on through a number of "Frankisms" that are in continued use in small corners of the Toronto investment banking, New York hedge fund, Kootenay craft brewing, Southern Ontario education and Silicon Valley tech communities. A self described "decent" golfer who liked nothing better than spending weekend mornings with a close group of York Downs friends, Frank was able to shoot his age on a number of occasions, all the while lamenting that he was only able to do it from the "old man" tees. Special thanks to the caring, devoted management and staff of Amica Georgetown. The family expects to host a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
