Frances Hill Rogers (Frank)

March 31, 1929 – February 11, 2026

Frances Hill Rogers, affectionately known as Frank, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Penetanguishene at the age of 96.

Born on March 31, 1929, in Belfast, Ireland to Samuel & Francis Rogers. Frank immigrated to Canada in 1957, where he built a life rooted in hard work, devotion to family, and quiet strength. A skilled sheet metal worker by trade, he was a proud member of Local 30 for over 25 years. His strong work ethic and steady dedication were hallmarks of both his professional and personal life.

Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eileen, in 1992. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Jack, Molly, Elizabeth, Jim, Robert, Isabelle, Billy, Anna & George. He leaves behind his loving sons: David (Christine), Paul (Lynne), and Brian (Mandy). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Graham (Ainslee), Gordon (Kristin), Jonathan, Connor (Rebecca), Samantha, Sarah (Andrew), and Benjamin. To his grandchildren, he was fondly and lovingly known as “Grumpy,” a title worn with humour and affection.

Frank was also a cherished great-grandfather to Brodie, Brenden, Brooklyn, Henry, Bridget, Casey, Finnegan, and Levi, each of whom brought him great pride and joy.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the caring staff at Amica Georgetown for their compassion and support, as well as to the staff at Hospice Huronia – Tomkins House for the kindness and comfort they provided during his final days.

He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Ireland, England, and the United States, as well as by all who knew him.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Frank’s legacy lives on in the generations that follow him and in the enduring love of his family.
