Ditschun, Frances Jean (nee Gammie)
Surrounded by her loving family, Fran passed away Friday, April 17th in her 63rd year. Beloved wife to Art Ditschun. Cherished mother to Scott (Alexandra) and Ellen. Loving daughter of Robert Gammie and the late Jean Gammie of Hespeler. Much loved sister of Doug (Donna), Craig (Wendy), Joan (Dave), Bruce (Lisa), and Kay (Dave). Incredible auntie to 18 nieces and nephews, and 8 great-nephews and -nieces. Sister-in-law to Leo (Janice), Eydie, and Audie (Karen-Ruth).
Fran graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Education and started teaching in the early 1970s. Through her 33-year teaching career at Chinguacousy Secondary School in Brampton, she touched the lives of many students and formed lifelong friendships with fellow staff. Fran enjoyed singing in the Norval United Church choir, and was also an accomplished pianist, regularly accompanying the men's choir and playing for Christmas Eve caroling at Norval Church. Her family and many friends celebrate Fran's rich and joyful life and mourn her passing. Fran's family will welcome friends and family for visitation at J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, on Friday, April 24, 2015, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A service will be held at St. Andrew's Hespeler Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 12 noon.
