Brent, Evert William –

Suddenly, on Friday July 4, 2025 at his home in Caledon. Evert, in his 94th year, beloved husband of Hilda for 65 years. Loving father of Teresa (Tim) and John (Liz). Proud and cherished Opa of Johanna (Matt), Daniel, Carina, Anders and Avery. Dear brother of Willie and Wijntje. Evert was predeceased by his sisters Marie, Janna, Truus, Trijntje and Geertje and by his brothers Jan, Frank, Gerard, Johan and Arend.  Evert will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Evert was gregarious, curious and loved making new friends while remaining connected with a wide range of people throughout his life. He thoroughly enjoyed working on their hobby farm in Caledon for the past 50 years. Evert’s strength of character was demonstrated through his faithful care of Hilda and through the way he helped friends, neighbours, and colleagues near and far.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Boston Mills Cemetery. A Celebration of Evert’s Life will be held at the Georgetown Christian Reformed Church, 11611 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Friday July 11, 2025 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
