Evelyn Owen (nee Birch),
Passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Tuesday June 18th, 2013. Evelyn, the light of John's life. Loving mother of Margaret, John, Duncan and Glyn. Adored Gran of Rebecca and Joshua (Ashtyn). Evelyn spent many years dedicating her time volunteering with in her community, Avid Cub Leader, Meals on Wheels and enjoyed her time doing that. She graduated from Leeds University with her teachers degree and was very supportive of the youth both academically and emotionally. Evelyn immigrated to Canada from England in 1965 and moved to Georgetown in 1967. The family wishes to thank their friends and neighbours for their love and support and as well as a big thank you to the C.C.A.C, Red Cross, Acclaim Health and Links 2 Care, especially thanking Jericho, Teresa, Gail and Liz Hardstaff for their care and kindness.
At Evelyn's request cremation has taken place. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
