In Loving Memory of Emma Walker
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Emma Walker, who left this world peacefully on June 17th, 2025 at the age of 88.
Mom was more than a mother — she was the heart of our family, the soul of our home, and the quiet strength behind us all. Born in 1937 in Holland she came to Canada as a young teen. She met and married our dad Eugene Walker in 1955 and settled in Lowbanks before moving to Toronto in 1963, and later retiring to Muskoka.
Mom lived a life full of grace, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
She had a way of making everyone feel special — whether through a warm meal, a kind word, a warm bed to sleep in, or simply her presence. Her hugs were safe havens, her smile could brighten the darkest day, and her love was the kind that wrapped around you like a blanket, no matter how far you were from home.
Mom taught us the value of kindness, the power of patience, and the beauty of simple joys — a shared afternoon of conversation, an evening of tile rummy, or the laughter of grandchildren. She gave selflessly and loved unconditionally, and her legacy lives on in every act of love we offer others.
She is survived by her daughters Cathy (Jim),Trish (Lucky), grandchildren Ryan (Tania), Dan (Crystal), Chris (Bobbi), Sean (Alex), Jordan (Sophia), Connor (Annie), and her great grandchildren Emma, Owen, Sydney, and Bellamy all of whom carry a piece of her heart in their own. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eugene and her son Mark.
A celebration of her life will be held on June 21st at Jones Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. The family invites all who loved her to join in remembering the incredible woman she was. Those unable to attend in person may livestream the service by following the link below.
We welcome you to join us afterward for a small celebration at the home of Trish & Lucky.
Though we grieve her loss, we are endlessly grateful for the time we had. Her love will always remain with us — steady, strong, and everlasting.
Rest peacefully, Mom. You were, and always will be, our greatest blessing.
