Elizabeth Joan March

Elizabeth Joan March nee Abbott born on July 5, 1929, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Extendicare Halton Hills, at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late Allan Kenneth MacInnes and the late Rene March. Joan was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her children, Robert Allan MacInnes-March (Catherine), Joseph Lawrence MacInnes-March (Vera), Christopher John March (Paula), and Gordon Alexander March (Lorena).

Joan was a cherished grandmother, affectionately known as Nana, to Ellen, Scott, Caitlin, Zachary, Griffin, Ethan, Aidan, Jackson, and Katie. She brought joy to their lives and was a beloved great-grandmother to Chase, Carson, April, and Agatha.

Joan's kindness and love extended beyond her immediate family, and she had a special bond with her sister in law Anne and niece Linda, who will deeply miss her presence.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Jones Funeral Home, located at 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Monday, June 12, 2023, between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, situated at 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown, at 10:30 a.m. Following the Mass, Joan will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.

In honor of Joan's memory, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.
