Stefan, Ed - Suddenly, on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Georgetown Hospital at the age of 77. Cherished husband of Gerdie for 56 years. Beloved father of Brian Stefan (Colleen) of Williams Lake, BC; Wayne Stefan of Calgary, AB; and Kathy Moreside (Dave) of Innerkip, ON. Adored Grandpa (Papa Eddie) of Sarah, Matthew, Erik, Ryan and Abby. Fondly remembered by his brother Art (Hilda), sisters Pauline (Duncan) and Paulette (Tom), his sisters-in-law Stella, Judy, Inge and Alice and his nieces and nephews. Special uncle to Colin and Christine Stefan and their family. Predeceased by his brothers John and Jake, his brothers-in-law Frank and Reinhold and by his nephew Ronnie. Ed was a kind, gentle, thoughtful and considerate man. He loved his family, had a strong faith and was a friend to many. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Tuesday November 19, from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 100 Mountainview Rd S, Georgetown on Wednesday November 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. For those who choose, the family invites you to join them at Hillcrest Cemetery for the interment. A reception will immediately follow the funeral service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 120, 127 Mill St, Georgetown.
