Ed Rieger past peacefully on January 1, 2026 at Amica Georgetown in his 87 year with his loving wife at his side.
Loving husband for 40 years to Barbara(nee Broderick). Ed was predeceased by his first wife, Valerie(1980). Dear father to Bruce who predeceased him (Sara), Vicki Read (Colin) and Keith. Proud grandfather to Nicole Chiponski, Tim Chiponski(Rebecca), Hudson Read, Lauren Read, Kylie Rieger, Zachary Rieger and Greatgrand to Jackson and Liam. Ed is survived by his sister Nancy Jones (John).
Ed was a gentle soul and was truly loved and respected by all who knew him.
A celebration of Ed’s friendships will be held on April 19,2026 at the Club at North Halton on 363 Maple Avenue, Georgetown, Ontario L7G 4S5 (905) 877-5236 from 13.00 to 16.00.
Donations in Ed's memory can be made to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital or Parkinson Canada.
