Rivero Yon, Eduardo (Retired Manager of Sheridan Nurseries Garden Centre, Glen Williams) – Suddenly passed, on Sunday April 14, 2024 at the Georgetown Hospital. Eduardo, in his 62nd year, beloved husband of Brian Worfolk for 14 years. Loving son of Carlos Rivero and the late Lila Yon Perez and son-in-law of Margaret Worfolk and the late William Worfolk. Loved brother of Miriam (the late Francisco), Ulises (Mildred), and brother-in-law of Andrea, Roseanne (Bob), and Peter (Lori). Proud stepdad of Brian (Melissa), Eric (Mel) and Candace. Cherished abuelo of Dakota, Adven, Macie, Isabella, Lilliana and Watson. Dear Tio of Ivon, Aymara, Gabriella and Camilla. Eduardo attended the Naval Academy in Cuba, graduated with a naval engineering degree and served as first Officer aboard the Costa Playa. Eduardo will be forever remembered by his family, neighbours and friends for his charming and joyful soul. Eduardo was deeply passionate about design and gardening, which he brought into his role as the Garden Centre Manager at Sheridan Nurseries with great enthusiasm. Eduardo was such a wonderful soul with a kind and beautiful heart. He had a witty and wicked sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a million-dollar smile that brought a ray of sunshine to all who knew him. Eduardo moved through life with such grace and enjoyed every step of the way. He truly lived his life to the fullest. Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Parish prayers will be held in the chapel at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Thursday April 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial contributions to Cancer Assistance Halton Hills would be appreciated.
