Eden Melissa Alchin left this world suddenly on a spring morning, her spirit lifting into the wide and endless sky.

Beloved daughter of Roger and Melissa Alchin, sister to Eric and Nadine, granddaughter of Joanna Alchin (the late Alwyn), Janine and Joe McCann and Melissa Bryner-Mark and Tim Mark. Eden’s light remains in the hearts of her uncles and aunts, Costen (Emily) and Stephen (Christine), her great-aunt Sherrie McCann, and her cousins Bryce (Blair) and Daphne.

Eden was a soul drawn to the earth’s quiet wisdom — to the forests, the rivers, the oceans, and the winds. She lived through music, breathed through yoga, and moved through the world with wonder.

Bright, sensitive, fiercely intelligent, and deeply spiritual, Eden sought beauty and truth in all she touched. Her journey led her to the University of Victoria and Pacific Rim College in British Columbia, and then to Toronto Metropolitan University, where she wove her love for the environment into her dreams for the future.

We imagine her now — wrapped in love, free of pain, a part of every sunrise and every tide.

A private service was held to honour Eden’s life, and a Celebration of her life will be held in the near future.

In her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
