Eddie Brewer

Edward (Eddie) Brewer, age 79, passed away on May 18, 2024 at Trillium Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in Halifax Nova Scotia on February 27, 1945, Eddie is predeceased by his parents (John and Noreen) and eldest daughter (Laura). He is survived by his loving wife (Mary) his youngest daughter (Lela), his 2 step-daughters (Gloria and Patti), 5 grandchildren (Devon, Dylan, Michael, Jessica, Dalton) and 2 great-grandchildren (Aliviya & Lachlan).

Eddie was a true legend who left a mark on many people’s lives. He always kept himself busy whether he was tinkering in his garage, going camping with friends or spending time with his family. He was passionate about woodcarving and would always have a picture to show of his latest masterpiece. He spent many years escaping the cold Ontario winters down in Florida with his wife and friends at their home away from home.

Eddie is remembered for his fun loving nature and his ability to live life to the fullest. He had countless stories to tell from his crazy adventures which gave him an uncanny ability to relate to anyone he met. Eddie was a true example of how to always make the most of each day and not take life too seriously.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will forever be in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Arrangements are as follows:

• Visitation Wednesday, May 22 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home (11582 Trafalgar Road in Georgetown)

• Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church (14400 Argyll Road in Georgetown)

•Reception will follow at The Terra Cotta Community Centre (18 High Street, Terra Cotta)

A private burial will follow at a later date
