Earl Presley

Earl Keith Presley,
Passed away peacefully at the Georgetown Hospital, on Monday, February 11, 2013 in his 85th year. Earl was born January 18, 1928. He was the beloved Husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Burrows) for 57 years. Loving Dad of Beth (Gary Crosbie), Sharon, Alan (Lori Rupert) and Brian (Robyn) and Grandpa to Jamie (Pam), Sean, Emily, Alex, and Samantha, and Great-Grandpa to Maximus and Leonidas. He was pre-deceased by his parents George and Doris and by his brother Jack. Fondly remembered by Margaret's cousin Pat O'Brien and her husband, John and their families, Margaret's brother, Ray and his children, and Gail Burrows. Earl and Margaret lived in Georgetown for 46 years and he worked at Loblaws and finished his working career as a senior caretaker for the Halton Board. He loved a good joke (and pun), sports, getting out to play golf, and travelling, lately to Florida. Many remember Earl as a kind, gentle and soft-spoken man. Earl loved his Lord Jesus and was a faithful follower of Him. He continues to worship the Lord, today, at His feet. A special thanks to Dr. Browning, Dr. Cheema, and the nursing staff at the hospital, and for many who called and visited him.
Arrangements entrusted to the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. Visitation at the funeral home will be on February 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service of celebration will be on February 15th at 11 am, at Maple Avenue Baptist Church, 177 Maple Avenue, Georgetown. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Revelation 21:4 says, He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."
