Douglas Clayton Kaufman

Kaufman, Douglas Clayton - in his 87th year, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Doug was beloved partner of Lorraine (Lorry) Wells. Cherished father of Heather Kaufman (Steven Foster) of Georgetown, Pamela Kaufman (Timm Fisher) of Toronto, Rachel Kaufman (David Ralph) of Toronto as well Lorry's sons Gregory and Daniel Wells. He will be sadly missed by his Grandchildren Kate, Adrian, Quinn and Nora, and Lorry's grandchildren Lucy, Geneissa, Kingston and Molly Wells. Doug is survived by his sisters, Joan (John) Douglas of Stratford, Sandra Kaufman of Toronto and former spouse Nora Kaufman of Georgetown. Predeceased by his parents Oscar and Paula Kaufman (nee Huras), sister Catherine Butler and brothers James Kaufman and Kenneth Kaufman.
Following a successful career in the tire business, our dad enjoyed his retirement spending winters in Tierra Verde Florida, golfing, watching the sun set into the Gulf and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid private pilot and a member of Brampton Flying Club and Waterville Flying Club NS, logging many 1,000's of air miles and flying well into his 70's. As a Brampton businessman, Doug was proud of his long term membership with Probus Club Brampton.
Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who cared for Doug at the end of his life. Special thank you to Jericho and the Acclaim Health team for their kindness and professionalism which allowed our dad to be cared for at home. Cremation has taken place.
Family and friends will be greeted at Augsburg Lutheran Church, 224 Mill St S Brampton on Friday August 23rd at 10:00am with funeral service to immediately follow.
