Dorothy Olney

OLNEY, Dorothy Christina - It is with great sadness that Dorothy Olney, formerly of Georgetown, Ontario, passed away so suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on September 29, 2015 in her 86th year, surrounded by love from her family and with special care from her cousin Krista Myers and family. Dorothy is predeceased by all her own family; her parents, Percy and Evelyn (Hosker) Olney, and her sisters Jean and Norma Olney. She is survived by many cousins. Dorothy was a long time employee of The Bell Telephone Company for 41 years as a telephone operator. Friends will be received on Friday, October 2, 2015 at J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road (north of Maple Avenue) Georgetown, Ontario from 12:00 noon until the time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Rob Park Officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery to be followed by a reception celebrating Dorothy's life in the Trafalgar Room. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
