Donna Jean Holland

In loving memory of Donna Jean Holland.
Donna passed away suddenly on September 23, 2020 in her 84th year. Loving mother of J Bradley Holland and Cindy Harris. Cherished, proud grandma of Jordan and Samantha Harris and Ryan and Owen Holland. Donna was predeceased by her three sisters Edna Smith, Shirley Cooper, and Helen Milner. Donna is survived by brothers-in-law Gary Cooper (Brenda) of Sarnia and Ray Holland (Connie) of Vancouver. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extended family, including Terri Cooper (Paul Helps) of Sarnia, to whom she was "second mom". Donna is a retired member of the Peel District School Board, Design and Construction Departments. She loved to participate in as many activities and day trips as she could with her large community of friends. She was a member of the ladies club and coffee club at her condo, an active member of the Mississauga Senior Center, Probus Club of Cooksville and Applewood United Church as well as various euchre clubs. Donna was a huge sports fan and never missed cheering on her beloved Blue Jays. She had a wonderful, friendly spirit who made friends wherever she went. She was a kind, thoughtful, giving person who always saw the best in people and was loved by so many. The family is grateful to the wonderful care she received from the doctors and nurses associated with Trillium Health partners and Dr. J. Miller and Dr. M. Meharchand of Apple Hills Medical, and Chartwell Robert Speck. Following cremation Donna will be buried beside her parents, the late Alice and John, in her hometown of Sarnia, Ontario in a private family ceremony. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Trillium Health Partners would be appreciated by the family. Donna was an amazing person, mother, grandmother and friend and will forever be missed.
