1943 – 2025

Peacefully welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Bethell Hospice, Donald Sickle entered eternal rest at the age of 81.

Beloved husband of Emily for 56 wonderful years. Loving father to Laura (Dale) Firth, the late Karen Delfin, and John Delfin (Angela Sim). Cherished grandfather to Charlie Delfin. Donald will be deeply missed by his sister Mary Sickle and sister Alta (Jim) MacFie. He also held a special place in the hearts of Philip and Andrew MacFie, Alex (Jane) Matheson, Gillian (Mike), Steven (Charlotte), and Jeff.

Donald’s strong faith guided every step of his journey, and his steadfast love and quiet strength were a testament to the goodness of God working through him.

A service of thanksgiving and celebration will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, followed by the interment of cremated remains at Coningsby Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Bethell Hospice in memory of Donald’s compassionate spirit.
