Donald Mceachern

McEachern, Donald (December 30, 1941 - November 25, 2013)- With profound sadness and after a lengthy battle with Dementia we are sad to announce the passing of Donald on Monday November 25, 2013, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Mureen for 49 years. Loving father of Donna Simonsen (Gordon) of Terra Cotta, Allan McEachern (Norina) of Georgetown and Donald McEachern of B.C. Cherished grandfather of Jesse, Brandon, Taylor and Ashley. Loved by his brothers Walter (Ann) Fraser of Australia, Bernard (Agnes) Fraser of Scotland and Johnnie and Maureen Fraser of Australia. Donald is predeceased by his parents Mary Fraser, Alan McEachern and John Fraser. A draftsman from Scotland Donald immigrated to Canada in 1965 to start a new life. Donald worked for Babcox and Wilcox, Acres Davy McKee and Inglis Appliances until 1995. Donald was transferred to the US working for Whirlpool Appliances until his retirement and returning back to Canada in 2009. The family would like to extend thanks to the care givers of The Village of Sandalwood Elliott House Long Term Care in Brampton also the nurses and doctors of the Palliative care Unit at Brampton Civic Hospital. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Friday November 29th from 10:00 am until time of funeral and committal service held in the chapel at 11:00 am.
