Dennis Richard Foley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis "Denny" Foley on October 30th, 2024 at the age of 82 after a short battle with lung and brain cancer.

Born on August 12, 1942, he lived a full life filled with family, friends and many good times. His life was a testament to resilience, love and laughter, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In a few words, Denny was fun, a rascal and a peacemaker all at the same time. He was also a proud professional, having worked at Gestetner, Varian and lastly at CPI in Georgetown as their Human Resource Manager for over 40 years.

Those that knew him will remember his gentle spirit, ready smile and warm sense of humor. He sure knew how to light up a room. Denny's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, his family and all the memories they hold close to their hearts.

Denny is survived by his sister, Carol, his sons and daughter, their partners and his grandchildren; Michael (daughters Summer and Amber, partner, Victoria); James (sons Colton and Callum, partner, Meredith); Stephen (partner, Bri) Connor, and his daughter Kirsten (partner, Mark).

Memorial visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 11-1 p.m. A celebration of life will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

As Denny prioritized finding joy in life and sharing it with others, the family asks you to do the same if you knew him - go out and do something that brings you great joy and share it with those around you.
