Denis De Melo

In his 82nd year, Denis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Georgetown Hospital. A retired employee of the Ford Motor Company of Canada in Oakville, Denis was the beloved husband of Fatima for 60 years, a loving father to Dennis and Michael (Josée) and a cherished Grand-papa (BG) to Michelle, Richard, Alexandre, and the late Lisa. Dear brother to Julieta (Joseph), Maria Jose (the late Emanuel), Maria Deus (Tex Sr.), Antonio “Tony” (Cathy) and the late Jaime (Margarida), Denis was also a caring brother-in-law to Isabel, the late Eduardo (Fatima) and the late Joe. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Denis found joy in gardening, camping, fishing, and spending winters in Florida. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Jones Funeral Home in Georgetown on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Patron of Canada Parish in Acton on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery in Mississauga.
