David Lahn

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David (Dave) William Frank Lahn, who passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2025, at the age of 63, surrounded by his loving family.

Dave was a devoted husband to Kim (nee Walker), his partner and best friend for 38 wonderful years, with whom he filled their lives and home with joy, laughter and lifelong memories. Proud and loving father to Matthew and Spencer, who brought him endless joy.

Born in Ottawa, the beloved son of the late William (Bill) and Jessie (Jaye) Lahn, and son-in-law of the late James (Jim) and Pauline Walker. Loved brother of Maureen Lahn, and brother-in-law of James (Jimmie) Walker (Una). Dear uncle to Christopher, Emerson, and Sterling.

A lifelong lover of sports, Dave found joy on the baseball diamond from his youth through adulthood. His passion for the game extended into coaching, where he led the Georgetown Eagles to multiple Provincial championships, leaving a lasting impact on his players through his leadership, mentorship, and love for the game.

Beyond the field, Dave was a dedicated fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. No matter the season’s outcome, his loyalty never faltered —a testament to his enduring optimism and unwavering spirit.

Dave’s kindness, humour and dedication to his family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the friendships he built, and the countless lives he touched.

In memory of Dave, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcome and appreciated.

Dave, you will forever hold a place in our hearts. May you rest in peace.

There will be no funeral service, at Dave’s request. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 31, 2025, 1pm at the Milton Legion (upper level), 21 Charles St, Milton, Ontario L9T 2G5
