Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Brett Culverhouse on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Bethell Hospice in Inglewood.

Dave was a devoted father to Liam (wife Kyra) and Derek, and a proud and loving grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Alora. He will be dearly missed by his brother Graham (partner Eric), as well as by the many friends and colleagues whose lives he touched. To Dave, friendship meant everything.

A master welder by trade, David began his career as a teenager and remained dedicated to his craft throughout his life, spending his entire career with AAE in Brampton until his retirement. His strong work ethic and loyalty defined him.

David was also a proud member of the Masons, a reflection of his sense of community, fellowship, and commitment to others.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and simple pleasures. He treasured time spent camping and at the cottage in McDougall, where he found peace and happiness. In recent years, he took up kayaking and embraced it with enthusiasm. Whether relaxing on the deck or “puttering”, Dave was always on the go, rarely sitting still for long.

Known for his stubborn streak and his big heart, Dave lived life on his own terms. Riding his Harley brought him a sense of freedom and joy that was unmatched.

Dave will be remembered for his loyalty, his humour, his independence, and the deep connections he formed with those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of friendship, hard work, and love for life. In Dave memory, please visit https://www.ontarioparks.ca/donate
