Dan Golden

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden illness and peaceful passing of Danny on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at the age of 74, surrounded by his family. He is the loving husband of his wife of 55 years, Shirley Golden (nee McNally), loving and devoted father of Yvonne, John (Brenda) and Christopher, and loving grandpa of Kaleigh Nicholls, Alicia Golden, Curtis Golden and Pharoh Golden. Also survived by his sister Dianne Tooming (Vello), brother John (Lorraine) and predeceased by his sister Kim Griffin. In lieu of flowers if desired, donations to a charity of your choice can be accepted through the funeral home.
Danny was unique and had many interests and talents. Over the years he played the accordion and was a good artist. He loved animals and had a German Shepherd dog named Max. He owned standardbred horses. He loved hockey and managed a hockey team. He loved going to the park, frequently taking his grandson, loved fishing and watching hockey on TV whenever he could. He loved gardening and working in the yard. He would do anything for anybody and will be deeply missed by all.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, on Friday, June 15 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 16 from 1:00 until the time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. In lieu of flowers if desired, donations to a charity of your choice can be accepted through the funeral home.
