Crystal peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Georgetown Hospital at the age of 95. Loving wife of Walter for over 60 years, Crystal was predeceased by her first husband, Eric Wilson. Dear mother of Doug (Janet), Monique (Jacques), Aya (Christian) and Shawn. Proud grandmother of Nicole (Micheal), Andrew, David, Kathryn (Robin), Gabrielle (Gavin) and Tadhg, and great-grandmother of Casey, Danika, Delilah, Sarah and Ellory. Crystal will be dearly missed by her sister Greta, brother Terrance and brother-in-law Andre. She was predeceased by her other two sisters, Pamela and Colleen. Crystal will be fondly remembered by her extended family, including many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her church family at St. John’s United, her friends from Girl Guides of Canada, her Gallery friends and the Georgetown Yellow Jackets Motorcycle Club.

Crystal was born in Calcutta, India, and had a lifelong love of travel. She journeyed to many destinations throughout her life, including India, China and Hawaii with her sisters. In her youth, she trained as a nurse and went on to help open Georgetown Hospital, where she later earned the title of Director of Nursing, serving from 1966 to 1972. Crystal found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, including baking, gardening, sunbathing and singing. Crystal was a social butterfly, and together with her husband Walter, she created a home that was always open to anyone who needed support or simply wished to spend time with family.
