Clare Anne Tenuta

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Clare Anne Tenuta (née Corr), born on December 17, 1984 in Belfast, Ireland.

Clare is survived by her mother Patricia, father Hugh, brother Damien, sons Bryce & Oliver, her sisters-in-law Karen, Paula, Claudia, Christina, mother-in-law Josie, brother-in-law Peter, and nephews Gabriel, Owen, Ronan, Broden and Tyson. Clare is remembered as an amazing mother, aunt, niece, sister, daughter, cousin, friend and co-worker. Her work ethic, boundless love and commitment to excellence in all areas of life stands out as a hallmark of her own unique brand.

After the sudden loss of her husband Victor (whom she met while working at Iovate), Clare raised her two boys Bryce and Oliver with the utmost love and affection. Hockey practices/tournaments, school and impromptu adventures kept them all busy and fulfilled. Clare loved her boys with her complete being and was a fierce Mama Bear.

While Pat & Hugh did not ever think that they would be saying goodbye to their beautiful princess, they were blessed with a God-given gift that we all can remember: Clare. She gave them an outlet into the Irish community through dancing, and a connection to our Italian community through Victor. From a baby, Clare stole the hearts of all she met and through the years she astonished us all with how she bloomed into a beautiful lady and mother.

After post-secondary education, Clare went on to excel at a career in Preferred Nutrition, Alcon Canada, and lastly Iovate Health Sciences. Clare loved what she did and made many friends and connections around the world.

Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 4pm-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Rd, Georgetown on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 10:30am. Friends and family are welcome to attend to celebrate Clare’s life. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the SickKids Foundation.
