Burns, Clare Abbott (Charter President of the Kinsmen Club of Georgetown) - Peacefully on Saturday March 23, 2019 at the Georgetown Hospital. Clare, in his 90th year, beloved husband of Lena for 66 years. Loving father of Steven (Susan), Janet (Scott) Arnold and Julie (fiancé Paul Allison). Predeceased by his daughter Patty Burns-Mellor. Loved grandfather of Joe, Heather, Kimberly, David and Danny. Great grandfather of Amy, Jack, Olive, Lucy and Evelyn. Dear brother of Robert and Donald Burns. Predeceased by his brother James. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday March 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room.
