Walker, Christopher - Peacefully, in his 98th year, on Monday September 4th, 2017. Born December 26th, 1919 in Herne Bay, Kent, England. Beloved husband of Maureen for 70 years. Dear father of Philip and his wife Heather and the late Geoffrey Walker. Proud grandfather of David and his wife Britta, Chris and Sarah and her husband Ryan. Great-poppa of Nathan, Lauren, Sebastian, Macy and Walker. Brother of 6 siblings whose descendants live around the world. He served in the Royal Sussex Regiment from 1940 - 1946 and fought in the Battle of El Alamein. Much loved by his many friends including Lois and Al Fraser and Jayne and Doug Brown. Chris emigrated to Canada in 1952 and lived in Georgetown for over 60 years. Chris was a community minded volunteer throughout his life with a special place in his heart for Globe Productions. A celebration of his life will be held at The Old Armoury, Georgetown Fairgrounds on Monday September 18th at 7:00 pm.
