Charles Thomas Peebles

Peebles, Charles Thomas - Peacefully on Wednesday July 13, 2016, in his 87th year. Charlie will be sadly and forever missed by his wife Carol (nee Gilligan), daughter Jodi (Wayne) and son Chuck. Cherished grandpa of Breanne (Ryan) and Jasen. Proud poppa of Haylie, Emmerson, Mackenzie and Findlay. Charlie was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and came to Ontario in 1961 where he met and married the love of his life in 1964. Charlie retired from C.N.T. in 1989 after 42 years and then proudly drove a school bus to fill his days. He was an avid golfer, curler and in his later years came to enjoy lawn bowling. The family wishes to acknowledge their sincere appreciation to all those who had cared for Charlie and a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paul Zeni and nurse Ruth Lee. At Charlie's request, cremation has taken place with a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Georgetown Lawn Bowling Association.
