It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Jackson Barhydt on March 21, 2013 at the age of 91 at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years Elizabeth [Betty], Chuck will be deeply missed by his sons Charles [Carol], Peter [Monica] and Ian [Anna Eva]. He was much loved by his grandchildren Lauren [Jonathan], Luke [Kaitlin], Dale [Julia], Robin, Johannes, Timothy, his new granddaughters Connie [Taryn], Jacklyn [Jeff] and Angela and his great-grandsons Desmond and Carter.
A graduate civil engineer from the University of Toronto, Charles Jackson worked for the railroads until his retirement in 1986. He then excelled in teaching his grandchildren skating, biking, rollerblading, tennis and rummoli. His favorite title was Father of the Barhydt Clan.
A celebration will be held on Monday, March 25th at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd. , Georgetown, On, L7G 4Y5 [905-877-3631]
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the C.N.I.B or the Robin Rocks On fund at Sick Kids Foundation.
