Crowshaw, Celia Brinca –
Peacefully passed on, Friday November 8, 2024 at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Celia was in her 50th year and was the beloved wife and best friend of her husband Mark for 27 years. They would have celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary this Dec 31st 2024. She was the loving mother of Hudson and Elliana who were both the light of her life. They were always her priority. From spending time chatting or watching movies, playing video games or buying them treats, they were her inspiration. Her kisses, squeezes, hugs and pinches will be missed but forever etched in her children’s memories.
Celia is the Loved daughter of Lilia and Tony Franco, Portuguese immigrant parents who raised the most beautiful, wonderful, caring and loving daughter. Celia’s bond and friendship with her mother was special. She was always there to help, guide, research, fill in documents and do what was needed to help whenever they reached out.
Celia is also the daughter-in-law of David Crowshaw and the late Bridget Crowshaw. David will always remember the wonderful moments they shared chatting, playing trivia games, enjoying Celia’s homemade sticky toffee pudding or just appreciating her for giving him such wonderful grandchildren. Most especially he will remember when they went to see the stage production of Les Miserables together. It was a very special Father-in-law / daughter-in-law moment that has been and forever will be held adoringly in his heart.
Celia is the dear sister of Phillip (Danya) Franco and sister-in-law of Dean (Jen Watson). Celia would regularly debate the world’s issues with her brother Phil and always enjoyed his feisty outlook on life, politics, religion, conspiracy theories… you name it; they debated it. She always enjoyed her brother-in-law, Dean’s comical antics and boyish charms that no matter what would always make her laugh and shake her head in amazement. Celia always knew that Danya and Jen were the perfect partners for Phil and Dean and loved them dearly for their love and generosity. Celia is the Dear aunt of Sybil, Sebastian, Tyson and Axle, all of whom she adored immensely. She loved kids and babies and always had time to spend being their big best friend when they got together.
A celebration of Celia’s life will be held for all friends and family at a later date. For those that would like to make any Memorial contributions to Lymphoma Canada (www.lymphoma.ca) in her name would be greatly appreciated.
