Catherine Mae Milton Rose

Milton Rose, Catherine Mae – Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in her home in Toronto, Ontario. She was the loving wife and partner of Jeffrey for 41 years. They met at a Christmas party in 1983, began dating in 1984, and remained inseparable ever since.

Beloved mother of Christopher (Hailey). Catherine loved her son with all her heart, Christopher was her whole world and she was beyond proud of him.

Cherished sister of Louise Milton, Theresa (Brian) Love, Lucille Forth, Jeanette (Chris) Cooper and Patricia (Mark) Scheffler. Dear aunt of Nolan, Rachael, Jesse, Matthew, Witney, Charlotte, William, Sean, Alexander, Denzil, Ella and Samuel. Predeceased by her parents John “Jack” and Jessie Milton.

Catherine will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A gifted watercolourist, Catherine passed in the place she loved most—her art studio. Meticulous and deeply passionate, she was always seeking to refine her craft, continually learning new techniques and pushing the boundaries of her creativity.

Beyond her art, Catherine tended a vibrant garden that mirrored her appreciation for beauty and order. With a sharp wit and humor, she brought warmth and laughter to those around her. She was also a reluctant, but devoted, traveler who went on countless adventures with Jeffrey around the world.

Catherine leaves behind a legacy of creativity, curiosity, and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1 p.m., with a reception held following the service. Catherine will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Cemetery.
