Carol Bullock

February 9, 1943 — January 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Bullock, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teammate, and friend. Carol passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, following a sudden stroke. Born on February 9, 1943, she lived a life filled with love, kindness, and joy, touching the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Carol was a beacon of light to everyone she met. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering strength left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was a loving wife to her husband, Jim; a devoted mother to her children, Bruce and Jason, and a proud grandmother to her grandson, Jesse.

Carol’s professional life was rooted in her dedication to helping others. As a nurse, she provided compassionate care to new mothers in the maternity ward and later supported children in rural schools as a traveling school nurse. Her arrival in a race car, complete with a roll bar and shoulder harness, left a lasting impression on many of the children she cared for. Later, as a jail nurse, she treated inmates with kindness and genuine concern, often offering them a listening ear and a friendly conversation.

Carol’s personal life was just as remarkable. She embraced new challenges with enthusiasm and had a passion for excellence. She competed as a rally car driver, SCUBA diver, skier, and explored the world, visiting places as diverse as the Falkland Islands and the Greek Isles. A skilled and competitive rifle shooter, she proudly placed fourth in the Millennial International Rifle Competition at Bisley, England.

At home, Carol’s garden was a sanctuary of vibrant flowers and greenery, lovingly tended with her meticulous care. Her artistic talents shone through the stunning hooked rugs she created, each piece reflecting her creativity and eye for beauty. Her dogs were devoted to her and enjoyed exploring the property with her.

Carol’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory and honor her values.

Carol is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Bruce (and his wife, Cindy) and Jason, and her grandson, Jesse. She was predeceased by her birth mother, Violet; her adoptive parents, Lester and Annie, and her brother Terry.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on February 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate Carol’s incredible life.

Rest in peace, Carol. Your legacy of love, strength, and joy will remain in our hearts forever.

If so desired memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
