April 10, 1927 — December 24, 2023

Dickinson, Bryan Clive - Died peacefully on Sunday December 24th 2023 at

Extendicare Halton Hills, 9 Lindsay Court, Georgetown, Ontario at the age of 96.

Bryan, born 10th April 1927 at Prestop Park Farm, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire,

England. Predeceased, by his wife Julia Dickinson ( Wheatley), his brothers William

(“Billy”) , Arthur, and sister Marjorie, parents Ellen and William Dickinson. Loving father of Colin and

his wife Pamela (Brierley). Cherished grandfather of Holly (Richard) Finlay and Jenny

(Steven) Humphreys. Great-grandad of Matilda, Oliver and Beatrice. Fondly

remembered by sister-in-law Evelyn and nieces and nephews in England and Canada.

Lifelong friend of Harry and Dorothy Brierley.

Bryan had a mixed dairy farm in Northern England for 13 years. In 1967 the family

emigrated to Canada where Bryan was employed at Master Feeds Research Farm,

Thornhill, Ontario until 1973 when Bryan and Judy bought a pig farm near Lindsay,

Ontario. They sold the farm in 1984, when they decided to move to Glen Williams to be

closer to Colin, Pam and the grandchildren. Bryan then worked with his son Colin who

operated Grass Roots Lawn & Garden Service. Bryan loved his home and living “ In

The Glen” and had an impressive flower & vegetable garden complete with pond. Bryan

was a huge life-long Leicester City F.C. fan following his team every week live on television.

He also took up golf in “retirement” with three of his best friends Jim, Ray, & Tony. A devoted father and

grandfather, Bryan was generous, humorous, thoughtful and kind. He will always be

loved and always be remembered.

Our family would like to express thanks and appreciation to Dr. Farragos and all the

staff at Extendicare Halton Hills.

In lieu of flowers, we would welcome donations to the Glen Williams Community

Association, “a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to maintain the hamlet

character of Glen Williams.” Donations are used to buy native plants, shrubs and trees.

The goal is to maintain and create a beautiful, more eco-friendly community in the green

spaces and river banks of the Glen.
