Bruce Moody

After a brief illness, on Monday September 15, 2025 just 4 days after his 99th birthday, Bruce peacefully passed away at Milton Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Noella (nee Des Cotes) in 2005. He was the son of Cecil and Daisy (nee Denham), younger brother of Roy who was killed in action in WWII.

Loving father of Kim McLaughlin (Scott) and Mark (Corina). Proud and cherished Granddad of Cory (Michelle), Kristie (Annie), Sienna and Victor. Loved great-granddad to Marah and Davis.

Bruce was born and raised in Montreal, he attended Concordia (formerly Sir George Williams College) & McGill University. In 1967 he accepted a job transfer to Toronto where he and Noella and their young family moved to Ontario. After a few years of city living they decided to settle in Georgetown where they spent 34 years. A lover of a good game of chess, Bruce engrossed himself in chess books studying strategies of the various chess masters, playing regularly at the Georgetown Seniors Centre and elsewhere with anyone willing to challenge him.

A private graveside service will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH).
