Bodil Ferri

Bodil Agnethe Ferri (Berg), longtime resident of Huttonville, and in later years, Haliburton and Meaford, crossed her Moon River on Monday, May 26 at age 99 years. The second of four daughters, Bodil (Bunny) was born in Terslev, Vestsjalland, Denmark to Axel and Thala Berg on January 1, 1926. Survived by children Nick, Peter, Anna and Laura, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Nick Ferri and daughter Christine Thala Higgins (Ferri), and sisters, Oda Barlow, Gudrun Lloyd (Taylor), Lillian Krogh.

Much gratitude to the staff at Meaford Longterm Care facility where Bodil was beloved for her feisty nature and ever-present arguments about the definition of 'essential' when it came to medications. The countless visits and tears and hugs from the home's staff during her last week, spoke to the deep respect for her and the compassion and caring they brought to her final years. A life well loved and well lived, Bodil will be greatly missed by her family, large extended family, and all who knew her.

Please join Bodil's family at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, on Friday, May 30 for visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., a service at 11:30, followed by a light lunch and then interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Norval.
