Gordon William “Bill” Ridd

Passed away surrounded by his girls at home in Georgetown on Monday, September 15, 2025. Bill was born to the late Gordon and Catherine Ridd. Beloved husband of Debbie for 31 wonderful years. Proud and devoted father of Alexandra (Eion) and Sarah, and adoring Grandpa of Parker. Cherished son-in-law of Ron and Maureen MacDonald.

Predeceased by sister Patricia, Bill leaves behind his loving siblings Barbara (Barry), John (Lydia), and Jim (Jan). Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law David (Janice), Derek, and Keith (Lisa), and by all his nieces and nephews. Bill shared a lifelong friendship with Tim & Lori and Doug & Diane.

Bill loved his family deeply and doted on his girls. Known for his quick wit, playful sarcasm, and goofy sense of humour, he brought smiles and laughter to those around him. He enjoyed golfing, family trips to Florida and Southampton, and was passionate about soccer — playing, coaching, and proudly supporting Alexandra and Sarah in all of their activities.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
