Beverley Nelissen (née Butterworth)

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Beverley Nelissen (née Butterworth), who passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 68.

Born on July 6, 1957, Bev lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. She was the devoted wife of Gregory Nelissen, whom she married in 1979, sharing 47 wonderful years together. Bev was the cherished mother of Andrew (Ashley) and a proud and adoring grandmother to Aaden, Austin, and Anderson - her greatest joys. She lit up at every story, milestone, and visit, finding endless happiness in the laughter and love of her grandchildren.

Bev was predeceased by her loving parents, Joan and Noel Butterworth, and will be forever missed by her siblings Brad (Penny), Brent (Monica), and Kerri Elinesky (Trevor). She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends who held her close throughout her life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Georgetown Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Bev over the years.

A celebration of Bev's life will take place at Jones Funeral Home - Trafalgar Room (11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, Ontario) on Sunday, November 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers, can be made to Georgetown Hospital in her memory.
