Handisyde, Bettysue Eileen (nee Johnson) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bettysue on February 5, 2024. Bettysue died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 79. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Eileen, she is survived by her beloved husband Gordon, was the cherished Mother of Brent (Cathy) and Bradley, a loving Grandmother to Jack, Carter, Etash and Rhys. She will be missed by her sisters Beverley Hall (Terry), Ellen Norton (Larry - deceased) and her dear nephew Kevin (Stephanie). Bettysue worked for the Sherriff’s Office in Milton for most of her career. She enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling with her husband and socializing with their large group of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CAShh (Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills).
A burial service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, located at 100 King St, Georgetown, ON L7G 2G7 on Friday, May 3, 2024, starting at 11:00am. We warmly invite each and every one of you to join us as we bid farewell to Bettysue and offer our final goodbyes. Greenwood Cemetery's peaceful grounds will provide a serene setting for us to reflect on the beautiful life she led.
Following the burial, we will continue the celebration of Bettysue's life at St. George's Anglican Church, situated at 60 Guelph St, Georgetown, ON L7G 3Z5. There, we will gather for sandwiches and refreshments as we remember and share cherished memories of Bettysue. Please RSVP to brentphee@gmail.com if you are planning on attending the St.George's portion as we will want to ensure we have enough refreshments for all.
