O'Grady, Bernice Marguerite (née Cross, formerly Glass)- Passed away peacefully in her 91st year on Friday, March 29th, 2013 surrounded by loving family, at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Bernice was the wife of the late Robert John Glass (Georgetown) and late Francis Joseph O'Grady (Etobicoke). Bernice is survived by her sister, Dorothy Herman. Bernice was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Sharon and her husband Bill Allen, John and his wife Bonnie Glass, Jim and his wife Catherine Glass and Jennifer Glass and her husband Ted Ives. She was the caring step-mother of William, Desmond (late), Donald, Sharon, Thomas, Bernard, and Kevin O'Grady and fondly remembered by their spouses and children. Bernice was the loving grandmother of Sarah, Mark, Jason, Paul, Lisa (late), Adriana, Elliott (late), Scott, Krista, Hilary and 9 great-grandchildren. Bernice's creative and fun-loving nature inspired many people. She was a well-loved member of the communities of the condominium at 330 Mill St. S. Brampton, the Brampton Seniors' Centre, and the Brampton Extendicare Long Term Care Centre. Bernice will be deeply missed by the congregation of the Community Christian Reformed Church of Meadowvale.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 6 - 8 p.m. at the Community Christian Reformed Church of Meadowvale -2630 Inlake Court, Mississauga, ON L5N. The Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday April 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Christian Reformed Church of Meadowvale. Spring Interment will be held at the Glen Williams Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Oakville - Lighthouse (shelter).
