It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernd Karl Hinze on February 16, 2013. Bernd passed at the age of 62 surrounded by friends and family, after a courageous battle with chronic rejection, following a double lung transplant in February of 2011. Bernd is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, daughter Erika, sons Mark and Sascha and mother Lydia. He was predeceased by his father Karl Hinze.
Visitation will take place at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown (905-877-3631) on Friday February 22nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate Bernd's life will be held at St. Alban's Anglican Church, 537 Main Street, Glen Williams on Saturday February 23rd at 2pm. A reception will follow at the church hall.
