Bernard James Middleton
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather, Bern Middleton in his 91st year, passing away on April 18, 2013. After immigrating to Canada in 1947 from Rugby, Warks, UK, Bern enjoyed a loving marriage to Eva for 63 years. He leaves 2 daughters, Joy and Linda and his 6 grandchildren Jazmin, Charles, Chris, Jodie, Jason and Geoffrey, and 6 great-grandchildren. Bernard held his niece Judith, nephew David and cousin Margaret in a very special place in his heart. Predeceased by his sister Jean in Rugby, UK, and sisters-in-law Mona, Bournemouth and Doreen of Mississauga. Cremation has taken place at his request and a private family memorial will take place at a later date. A Celebration of Bernard's Life took place on October 20, 2012 for his 90th birthday when so many friends and family came together at their current residence. Bernard was a Founding Owner of Kincort Cutting Tools Ltd. Weston, a Charter Member of Georgetown Kinsmen, Charter President of K40 Club, IOFF, and many volunteer positions. Many will remember Bern's quiet and friendly disposition. Sharing his thoughts on rugby, soccer, Blue Jays or Maple Leafs games and chatting about the world news. Bern and Eva enjoyed so much traveling together around the world and winter evenings sitting around the fire on Orchard Blvd. Bern enjoyed all of his family and friends so very much. He loved his gardens and proudly won many awards for his passion. The family wishes to thank all the Drs. and Nurses at Georgetown, Credit Valley and Trillium Hospitals for their excellent care provided. We are so blessed that he had such a wonderful long life.
In memory, contributions to the Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs, the Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills or a charity of your choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Georgetown. To send expressions of sympathy visit www.jsjonesandsonfuneralhome.com
