Barb Metcalf (74) passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, at Georgetown Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Mother to Devon (Paul) and Kristen, dear grandmother to Olivia and Camden and sister to Cathy (Bill) and Judy. Barb is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael, only 3 months prior.

Barb had previously worked for Peel Regional Police and Northern Telecom, where she made lifelong friendships. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, spending her winters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and doting on her grandchildren, who will always hold dear memories of their trips together to Prince Edward Island and Great Wolf Lodge.

Barb will be remembered for her generosity, resilience and unwavering strength. Despite facing many challenges in her final months, she continued to fight with determination until the very end.

A celebration of life and a private interment will occur at a later date. If desired, memorial donations made to Cancer Assistance Halton Hills would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
