Barbara Jeffrey

Jeffrey, Barbara Susan (nee Boyle)- Peacefully came to the end of her earthly journey in the company of her children, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Georgetown Hospital after a short illness at the age of 80. Reunited with her beloved husband John (Pops) (2006). Much loved mother of Patti (John), Barb (John), Shelley, Susan (Jeff), John (Lynda), Mary Lou (Ron), Peter (Iris), Christine (Tim). Devoted grandmother of Karen, Carole, Michael, Melanie, Kevin, Tracy, Howie, Krista, Sam, John, Emma, Jeffrey, Robyn, Chantal and Daniel. Great-grandmother of Owen, Hayden, Nolan and Jason. Survived by her brothers Dan (Pat), Charlie (Yvonne) and her sister Brenda Jones (Ed) and numerous nieces and nephews. Barb was a life-long resident of Georgetown and parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Parish. She was a retired employee of Loblaws where her cheerful service as an Express Desk cashier will be remembered by many. Special thanks to the staff at the Bennett Centre for their wonderful care. Our lives have been blessed by her gentle, loving nature. We will miss her greatly. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (14400 Arygll Rd., Georgetown) on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
